WCC Player Consideration On-Line Form

The Western Challenge Cup (WCC) is an opportunity for skilled minor ball hockey players to come together to represent RMMBHA and compete at an elite level against other minor ball hockey associations from western Canada (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba).

The 2023 WCC Tournament will be hosted in Edmonton Alberta, from July 12 - 16, 2023.

The tournament divisions include: U11, U13, U15, U17, U19.

Eligible players in the U13, U15, U17, & U19 divisions, who believe they excel in the game of ball hockey, are asked to review the WCC Guidelines for Coaches, Parents & Players (below), then complete a Player Consideration On-line form using the link above. Team rosters, for the tournament at each of these age groups, will be finalized by coaches, after scouting interested players during league games and finalize rosters in consultation with the WCC coordinator & league officials.

Eligible players in the U11 division are asked to review the WCC Guidelines for Coaches, Parents & Players then complete a Player Consideration On-line form using the link above. At this division, all interested players will participate in a 2 part try out. Try-out dates are:
April 30th: 8:30am-9:45am-Pitt Arena, Red Rink
May 13th: 1:30pm-3pm-Pitt Arena, Red Rink

The WCC teams are intended to be of "rep" calibre. Players who intend to play are expected to be fully committed and available to participate in training and the tournament.

Deadline for players to express their interest to be considered for a WCC team is 11:59pm, April 25th, 2023.

WCC Guidelines for Coaches, Parents and Players

The WCC is a competitive program that provides an added opportunity for players within our league to challenge themselves in competition against other associations with a commitment to team success. There have been some minor changes made to the program for the 2023 season, so all interested coaches, parents and players need to review the new guidelines for this season. These guidelines were drafted by members of the RMMBHA Executive.

Thank you to Surrey Minor Ball Hockey for all their hard work and efforts in putting together an organized tournament, which brought together talented players and promoted sportsmanship and a love of ball hockey!
