Player Evaluation opportunity |
|
Help select the players that will go for gold in Ontario
WCMBHA of BC is looking for individuals within our Minor Ball Hockey Associations to help with evaluating players at our upcoming tryout sessions. If you feel you have an eye to spot talent and got what it takes to build a high level competitive team, we would like to have you out and help the Head Coaches and Program Director at the following U15, U17 & U19 Open Tryouts.
Sunday, April 7th from 12:30pm, Sunday, April 14th from 12:30pm, Sunday, April 21st from 12:30pm
All the sessions are at the Langley Hockey House Arena located at #107 20740 Mufford Crescent, Langley, BC.
If you are interested please contact Gary Slavin, BC National Program Director by April 2nd at nationaldirector@wcmbh.com Please specify in your email your commitment for each session, your association you are from and your background/experience in ball hockey.
If you can not come out for the entire 3.5 hour session, we can still use you for each division for an hour or so per day. The more input the stronger our BC teams will be! Please reply to westcoastmbh@hotmail.com |

The RMMBHA AGM is set for June 25th - 7 pm at Renegades arena, upstairs in the Curling Rink lounge. The available executive positions for the 2013 season are; President, Treasurer, Referee in Chief, Fundraising & Special Events, Webmaster/Stats, League Scheduler, Volunteer Director, Evaluation Director and Equipment Manager. There is a questionnaire posted on the Events Page that is to be completed and forwarded to Jill Rooney at secretary@rmmbha.com no later than June 18, 2012 along with any questions you may have. Your support is needed for the AGM, hope to see you there! |

Playoff games |

All playoff game scores must be loaded onto the website by the home team, immediately after each game. There are no exceptions to the rule. The webmaster needs to allocate teams into the correct area of the playoff flowchart each evening after games are completed. |

RMMBHA mercy rule |
|
Please be advised that RMMBHA follows the "mercy rule" where, when one of the teams is ahead by 5 or more goals, the clock will be adjusted to "run time".
Once the clock goes to "run time", it will continue running till the end of the game, even if the score becomes less than a five goal difference. The only exception to this rule will be if a team calls a "time out" during the run time.
Also, goals in excess of 5 are not posted on the scoreboard.

Dear Players, Coaches, and Parents, by this time we have all started to enjoy the great game of ball hockey. I want to apologize to everyone in regards to the game and practice schedule. We are finding it a BIGGER task then anticipated to schedule over 600 games and 500 practices at five different rinks. Conduct by coaches, players, and parents! |

CONDUCT BY COACHES, PLAYERS AND PARENTS There will be zero tolerance for any kind of verbal or physical abuse towards an official, and the officials have
been instructed that if this situation arises that their first step is to issue a 10 minute misconduct, then game misconduct, then gross misconduct. These
suspensions cannot be appealed. It is important that all coaches, spectators, refeeres and players have respect for each other at games on and off the floor. Let's have a good season! |

Mini tykes Ball hockey Season update |

Mini Tykes will run Sundays from 10:00 am-10: 45 AM at Pitt Meadows Recreation Center located on Harris Road in Pitt Meadows starting April 15 to May 27, that is six weeks. There will be no ball hockey on the May Long Weekend.

This past weekend, five teams travelled to Edmonton for the WCC tournament. The U-12 team won Bronze, the U-14 team won gold and the U-17's lost in the bronze final, the U-19 team won Bronze! All the teams played very well! Thank you to all the parents who have supported the boys this past weekend! |
