Donate A Board program
Our Executive Committee of Ridge Meadows Minor Ball Hockey Association have been working closely with Golden Ears Winter Club (Curling) to find a way to put ball hockey into their facility (next to Planet Ice off 105th Avenue) when the ice is taken out for the spring and summer months. For our association to be able to do this, we have purchased rink boards and a score clock which comes with a hefty cost. A cost that we don’t want to have to pass on to our players.

RMMBHA would like to take this opportunity to ask you, your organization or your business to help with funding to be able to purchase boards to put in place at the Golden Ears Winter Club in Maple Ridge, which will provide a new arena fl oor to insure more children can play this sport within our community. Our fundraising plan, called “Donate a Board” is a way to help us purchase these much needed rink boards and at the same time acknowledge your generosity. With your donation, we will attach a commemorative plaque to our “Donate a Board” display case that will be located at Planet Ice, as well as being acknowledged on our website and in newspaper advertisements. RMMBHA has been part of this community for the past 4 years offering children from the ages of 3 to19 a program that gives them a place to enjoy physical activity, team participation and a safe environment at a reasonable registration fee.

We are asking for a donation for the “Donate a Board” sizes available below.
The larger the donation the larger the information will be available to engrave on your plaque.
Once you have filled out and picked which size you would like to donate for us to buy,
please fill out the reverse portion.

The Commemorative plaques that will be engraved with your kind donation are:

DEADLINE FOR SPONSORSHIP FOR 2008 SEASON PROGRAM IS MARCH 15th, 2008

BACKGROUND TO SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM:
As we enter another season of organized ball hockey for youths in our community, we have had to look at other ways to raise money for our association. Registration fees for players are the lowest compared to the other cities in the West Coast Minor Ball Hockey Association. By keeping these fees down, it makes it easier on our families to have their children in organized sports.

In order to keep the RMMBHA growing we have turned to you, local businesses and groups, to help us provide a fun sport for our children to enjoy throughout their youth. With the expectations we have for this upcoming season, RMMBHA is sure to make a big impact in the sport of ball hockey throughout Western Canada.

We have outlined some incentives for supporting our association, and in turn, the kids!

WHAT YOUR SPONSORSHIP FUNDS GO TO:
While we try to keep our registration fees down to cover floor time for practices and games, team/player pictures and referees there are obviously many more expenses to run this association. Most donations in the past have been put towards team jerseys, medals and trophies for the playoffs, goalie equipment and general office expenses.
With the rise in player registration, the opportunity to showcase our community and the opportunity to send All-Star teams to the Western Challenge Cup, we are looking to sponsorship funds to help us out with many of the following expenses:
• Goalie equipment.
• Additional practice floor time for All-star and Provincial contending teams.
• Association banners and signage for promotions in the community.
• Travel costs for our All-star teams to take part in the Western Challenge Cup.
• Trophies and medals for our regional playoff players.
• Setting up a fund for under privileged players wanting to join RMMBHA.
• Setting up a Foundation to raise money for new facilities and/or upgrades.

Opening Night/Season program
For each RMMBHA season we produce a 16 page (minimum), 8.5”x11” program to promote our opening night fundraiser and the full upcoming season, listing all the players and messages from various community organizations. We print (minimum) 1,000 copies which are given to all our players, rink locations, advertiser’s outlets and community parks & recreation facilities.

The ad sizes are:
(PLATINUM) Full page: 7.5”w x 10”d no bleeds/red included
(GOLD)1/2 page: 7.5”w x 4.75”d no bleeds/red included
(SILVER)1/4 page: 3.75”w x 4.75”d no bleeds/black & white only
(BRONZE) 1/8 page: 3.75”w x 2.25”d no bleeds/black & white only

Sponsor/Donation Advertisement

With all our sponsorship packages you are entitled to have your logo and contact information advertised on one of our four published E-newsletters that covers everything going on in ball hockey. These are sent to all the RMMBHA contacts on our email directory (approximately 450+ addresses).

"Sponsor” page Listing

With the package that you have chosen, you are entitled to a listing on the “Sponsor” page of our website. This page is a quick click from our home page menu bar. A listing form will be sent to you which will indicate what information you may have posted. (example: Name, address, phone and type of business).

“After the Game” page Listing
With either the platinum or gold package that you have chosen, you are entitled to a listing on the “After the Game” page of our website. This page is also a quick click from our home page menu bar. A listing form for “After the Game” information will be sent to you which will indicate what information you may have posted. (example: Name, address, phone, type of business and a 6 line company definition or promotion) This listing will stay the same throughout the season and will not be changed due to new promotions. Please keep in mind that it runs from April 1 to September 1 of each year.

With all our sponsorship packages you are entitled to have your logo advertised on our sponsor board. This board will be about 2’w x 4’ d. It will be on a hard foam core board with a matte laminate to protect the information. We will showcase the four levels of sponsorship with your logo placed below. This board will also have a volunteer list as well as a donor list. The Sponsor /Donation Board will be posted at our opening night, pub night fundraiser, and during our playoffs.

Other ways to help RMMBHA kids!
BUSINESS & GROUP DONATIONS
The Ridge Meadows Minor Ball Hockey Association, is always looking for donations of merchandise and/or gift certificates! Our two major fundraisers throughout the season would not be possible without donations for raffles, door prizes and silent auctions from businesses and groups in our community like yours! If you would like to support RMMBHA with a donation, feel free to give us a call, we would be glad to stop by, chat about the league and pick up a donation.

For cash donations, businesses and groups may donate funds to a particular area if they wish. Cash donations can be made to three specific areas that RMMBHA has set up if you choose. Building foundation: account set up to raise money for new facilities and/or existing facility upgrades, Funds for under privileged players: we put these funds directly to players and families in need. We have a questionnaire form that these families submit, families that need extra funds, RMMBHA puts $100 towards each player’s registration and in some cases help with equipment. The third is our tournaments: RMMBHA each year has the opportunity to send rep teams to participate in the Western Challenge Cup. Donated funds help with travel costs, entry fees and equipment if needed. It gives our players the opportunity to play ball hockey at a higher level.
